Lutwyche, Queensland receives 38 new social homes
BlueCHP recently celebrated the opening of 38 new social homes in Lutwyche, Queensland, delivered in partnership with the Queensland State Government through the Partnering for Growth initiative.
Minister for Communities, Housing and the Digital Economy, the Hon Leeanne Enoch, with BlueCHP CEO Charles Northcote, Senator Anthony Chisholm and Jim Sullivan, opened the $19m Lutwyche social housing complex.

Ms Enoch said the new homes would soon welcome tenants, and more homes are under construction. “We will see 80 new social housing homes built by BlueCHP in Lutwyche and Windsor through our Queensland Housing Strategy 2017-2027,” she said.

BlueCHP Executive Manager Queensland and Northern Territory Darren Mew said “for many Queenslanders, simply finding a home is becoming increasingly difficult”. When considering the projects, BlueCHP is delivering, he noted “the importance of being able to service the long-term interests of the individuals we are housing and sustaining those homes for twenty years or more.”
