Currently under construction, this project forms part of the QLD State Government’s wider commitment to expanding social and affordable housing on the Sunshine Coast
Located in the growing coastal community of Birtinya, this new five-storey residential development will deliver 63 modern apartments. These homes are specifically designed for seniors and individuals living with disabilities. The development will provide a safe and accessible housing option within walking distance of the Sunshine Coast University Hospital and nearby essential services.
This development will provide accessible, purpose-built homes designed to meet the needs of older Queenslanders and people with disabilities. Close to transport, health services, and retail precincts, residents can stay connected to their community while enjoying safe, affordable housing.
The project supports the Queensland Government’s long-term vision to increase the supply of quality housing, ensuring that vulnerable and low-income residents have a secure place to call home.
The Birtinya development reflects BlueCHP’s ongoing collaboration with government and industry partners to deliver inclusive, community-focused housing outcomes.
Approved in 2023, the project repurposes a 2,622m² site within the Kawana Waters precinct. This transformation will create a vibrant and well-connected residential community.
Together with new housing projects at Beerwah, Sippy Downs, and Maroochydore, the Birtinya build contributes to over 240 new homes being delivered across the Sunshine Coast under Queensland’s record investment in social and community housing.
