Completed in 2026, this development delivers social homes in the heart of the Sunshine Coast’s growing health precinct.
Located in the growing coastal community of Birtinya, this five-storey residential development provides 63 modern community homes for older Queenslanders.
The development includes a mix of apartment sizes, designed to support accessibility, safety, and long-term independence.
Communal areas provide welcoming spaces for residents to connect and build a sense of community.
Positioned within walking distance of the Sunshine Coast University Hospital precinct, the development offers convenient access to health services, public transport, retail, and other everyday amenities. Dedicated resident and visitor parking further supports accessibility and convenience.
The project transformed a 2,622 square-metre site within the Kawana Waters precinct into a well-connected residential community. It provides secure, affordable housing for people on lower incomes and those with the greatest housing need.
Delivered through the Queensland Government’s QuickStarts program, Birtinya contributes to the increased supply of quality housing across the Sunshine Coast. The project reflects BlueCHP’s ongoing collaboration with government and industry partners to deliver accessible, community-focused housing outcomes.
Connect Housing Group manages the tenancies at Birtinya. Together, BlueCHP and Connect Housing Group support the delivery and ongoing management of quality homes that provide greater housing security on the Sunshine Coast.
