BlueCHP has celebrated the opening of its 160th affordable home within the Jordan Springs and Ropes Crossing redevelopment. The achievement marks a significant milestone in the long-running St Mary’s ADI Project and the delivery of affordable housing across Western Sydney.
Representatives from the New South Wales Government, the community housing sector, development partners, and industry stakeholders gathered in Jordan Springs to recognise the achievement and the collaborative effort behind it. Together, these partnerships have helped create affordable housing opportunities for hundreds of residents over the past fifteen years.
The Hon. Prue Car MP, Deputy Premier of New South Wales, Minister for Education and Early Learning, and Minister for Western Sydney, joined BlueCHP Chief Executive Officer Charles Northcote and guests for a tour of the newly completed home. The home was then officially opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The milestone represents more than the completion of a single home. It reflects over fifteen years of partnership, planning and investment through the St Mary’s ADI Project, one of Western Sydney’s most significant urban redevelopment initiatives.
Delivered in partnership with Lendlease, Homes NSW, the NSW Department of Communities and Justice, and financed by Housing Australia, the affordable housing program has played an important role in increasing access to quality, affordable homes in Western Sydney. As demand for affordable housing continues to grow, the project demonstrates the impact that strong partnerships can have in delivering long-term housing outcomes. Additionally, it highlights the value of sustained investment in affordable housing across the region.
BlueCHP Chief Executive Officer Charles Northcote said the milestone reflects a shared commitment to addressing housing affordability challenges and creating thriving communities.
“This milestone is a significant achievement and demonstrates what can be accomplished when government, industry, and community housing providers work together with a shared vision. These homes provide more than accommodation. They create opportunities for people and families to establish stability, build connections, and participate fully in their communities.”
-Charles Northcote, BlueCHP CEO

Guests toured the newly completed property and met with project stakeholders to learn more about the ongoing redevelopment. They also discussed the role affordable housing continues to play in supporting inclusive and sustainable communities across Western Sydney.
The event brought together representatives from Homes NSW, Community Housing Industry Association NSW (CHIA), Western Sydney Leadership Dialogue, Evolve Housing, Fowler Homes, and BlueCHP’s project delivery team. This gathering highlighted the collaborative approach that has underpinned the redevelopment’s success.
With Stage 1 of the redevelopment now complete and Stage 2 well advanced, the opening of the 160th affordable home provides an opportunity to reflect on the project’s lasting contribution to housing affordability in Western Sydney. It also highlights the positive impact of safe, secure, and affordable housing.
As BlueCHP continues to expand its portfolio and work alongside government and industry partners, the organisation remains focused on creating housing pathways that help individuals, families and communities thrive.
The opening of the 160th affordable home stands as a significant project milestone. It also serves as a reminder of what can be achieved through sustained partnership, investment, and a shared commitment to improving housing outcomes for Australians.
