BlueCHP is delighted to announce that Louise Cox has been elected Chair of the Board and will assume the role from the close of the organisation’s Annual General Meeting on 26 November 2026.
A non-executive director of BlueCHP since 2024, Louise will succeed Craig Lee following his planned departure. Craig’s Board service spans more than a decade, including nine years as Chair.
An accountant and lawyer, Louise brings more than 30 years of experience as a chief executive, chief financial officer and non-executive director. Her career spans commercial, public sector and not-for-profit organisations across education, mental health, professional services and property development.
Her governance experience includes serving as Chair and Deputy Chair. Louise has also lead committees responsible for finance, risk, governance, remuneration and nominations. She is Deputy President of CPA Australia and Chair of RSPCA Queensland. Louise also serves on the boards of Vertaview Group and West Moreton Health.
Louise’s election provides continuity, with her knowledge of BlueCHP’s operations, priorities and purpose, supporting a smooth leadership transition. Her financial, legal and governance expertise will help guide the organisation’s continued delivery of social, affordable and specialist disability housing, working with government, investment and community partners.
The handover also offers an opportunity to recognise Craig’s longstanding commitment to BlueCHP. Appointed as a non-executive director in August 2016, Craig became Chair in November 2017. Craig brought extensive experience in infrastructure, real estate and complex property finance.
During his time on the Board, BlueCHP has expanded its work across states and grown its specialist disability housing program. Craig has served alongside fellow directors and the executive team through this development. Together, they have maintained a shared focus on increasing access to secure, affordable homes.
“Craig’s leadership, wise counsel and support have been invaluable to BlueCHP, and I thank him warmly for his contribution over the past decade. I look forward to working with Louise as Chair, building on her experience and understanding of our organisation to deliver more homes for people who need them.”
-Charles Northcote, BlueCHP CEO
BlueCHP extends its heartfelt thanks to Craig for his leadership, wise counsel and enduring contribution to the organisation and the communities it serves.
We warmly congratulate Louise on her election and look forward to working together towards a future where every Australian has access to a home they can afford.
