BlueCHP has celebrated the opening of its 160th affordable home within the Jordan Springs and Ropes Crossing redevelopment. The achievement marks a significant milestone in the multi-stage St Mary’s ADI Project, delivering affordable housing in Western Sydney.
On Wednesday 20 May, representatives from New South Wales Government, the community housing sector, project partners, and industry stakeholders gathered in Jordan Springs to recognise this achievement. The event also recognised the collaborative effort behind the project. Over the past fifteen years, these partnerships have helped create affordable housing opportunities for hundreds of residents.
Celebrating 160 affordable homes
The Hon. Prue Car MP, Deputy Premier of New South Wales, Minister for Education and Early Learning, and Minister for Western Sydney, joined BlueCHP Chief Executive Officer Charles Northcote and guests at the newly completed home. Together, they toured the property before officially opening it with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The milestone represents more than the completion of a single home. It reflects over fifteen years of partnership, planning, and investment through the St Mary’s ADI Project. The project is one of Western Sydney’s most significant urban redevelopment initiatives. For BlueCHP, the milestone also reflects its longstanding role as an affordable housing developer in Sydney and Western Sydney.
BlueCHP has delivered this affordable housing program in partnership with Lendlease, Homes NSW, and the NSW Department of Communities and Justice, with financing from Housing Australia. As a result, the program has played an important role in increasing access to quality, affordable homes in Western Sydney.
Demand for affordable housing continues to grow. In response, the project demonstrates how strong partnerships can deliver long-term housing outcomes. Additionally, it highlights the value of sustained investment in affordable housing across the region.
BlueCHP Chief Executive Officer Charles Northcote said the milestone reflects a shared commitment to addressing housing affordability challenges and creating thriving communities.
“This milestone is a significant achievement and demonstrates what can be accomplished when government, industry, and community housing providers work together with a shared vision. These homes provide more than accommodation. They create opportunities for people and families to establish stability, build connections, and participate fully in their communities.”
-Charles Northcote, BlueCHP CEO

A collaborative approach
Guests toured the newly completed property and met with project stakeholders. During the tour, they discussed the role of affordable housing in supporting inclusive and sustainable communities across Western Sydney.
The event brought together representatives from Homes NSW, Community Housing Industry Association NSW, Western Sydney Leadership Dialogue, Evolve Housing, Fowler Homes, and BlueCHP’s project delivery team. Their involvement highlighted the collaborative approach underpinning the redevelopment’s success.
Looking ahead
Stage 1 of the redevelopment is now complete, while Stage 2 is well advanced. As a result, this milestone provided an opportunity to reflect on the project’s lasting contribution to housing affordability in Western Sydney.
Looking ahead, BlueCHP continues to expand housing delivery and work alongside government and industry partners. As an affordable housing developer, BlueCHP remains focused on creating housing opportunities that help individuals, families, and communities thrive.
