BlueCHP has celebrated the opening of its 160th affordable home within the Jordan Springs and Ropes Crossing redevelopment. The achievement marks a significant milestone in the multi-stage St Mary’s ADI Project, delivering affordable housing in Western Sydney.
On Wednesday 20 May, representatives from New South Wales Government, the community housing sector, project partners, and industry stakeholders gathered in Jordan Springs to recognise this achievement and the collaborative effort behind it. Together, these partnerships have helped create affordable housing opportunities for hundreds of residents over the past fifteen years.
The Hon. Prue Car MP, Deputy Premier of New South Wales, Minister for Education and Early Learning, and Minister for Western Sydney, joined BlueCHP Chief Executive Officer Charles Northcote and guests for a tour of the newly completed home. The home was then officially opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The milestone represents more than the completion of a single home. It reflects over fifteen years of partnership, planning, and investment through the St Mary’s ADI Project, one of Western Sydney’s most significant urban redevelopment initiatives.
Delivered in partnership with Lendlease, Homes NSW, NSW Department of Communities and Justice, and financed by Housing Australia, the affordable housing program has played an important role in increasing access to quality, affordable homes in Western Sydney.
As demand for affordable housing continues to grow, the project demonstrates the impact that strong partnerships can have in delivering long-term housing outcomes. Additionally, it highlights the value of sustained investment in affordable housing across the region.

Guests toured the newly completed property and met with project stakeholders and discussed the role affordable housing continues to play in supporting inclusive and sustainable communities across Western Sydney.
The event brought together representatives from Homes NSW, Community Housing Industry Association NSW, Western Sydney Leadership Dialogue, Evolve Housing, Fowler Homes, and BlueCHP’s project delivery team, highlighting the collaborative approach underpinning the redevelopment’s success.
With Stage 1 of the redevelopment now complete and Stage 2 well advanced, this milestone provided an opportunity to reflect on the project’s lasting contribution to housing affordability in Western Sydney.
