Simone Pauley, a BlueCHP tenant, was the highlight of the day when she shared her experience and gratitude for social housing. Simone said, “In January 2023 I was given the keys to our new apartment. When I first opened the door to our unit, I cried tears of relief and joy. I was moving into a brand-new home that I could afford, and my son and I would be a family again.”

The Queensland Government provided a capital grant and partnered with National Housing Finance Investment Corporation (NHFIC) through the Affordable Housing Bond Aggregator (AHBA) in an agreement under the Queensland Government’s Partnering for Growth initiative, to deliver this circa $20m building.

“This partnership between the Queensland Government and NHFIC has enabled BlueCHP to retain this building and others in a financially sustainable manner, which allows BlueCHP to utilise these projects to deliver additional social and affordable housing in perpetuity for Queensland,” said George Giannes, National ‘Build to Rent’ Manager, BlueCHP.

“We believe in a future where every Australian has access to a home they can afford, and our focus is on the provision of affordable and disability housing for generations.” said BlueCHP CEO, Charles Northcote.

BlueCHP is a Not-for-Profit Tier 1 Community Housing Provider that focuses on the delivery of affordable, social and disability housing in QLD, NSW, VIC and SA.  Over the past 14-years BlueCHP has delivered over 2,000 dwellings to the sector.
