A robust, specialist disability accommodation (SDA), purpose-built duplex; that is truly one-of-a-kind. These two homes were designed to meet the individual needs of the three young ladies moving in, who will soon call it their home.
This dwelling was built under BlueCHP’s GuideYouHome initiative, a unique participant-led approach that focuses on the client first. The North Ryde property was constructed for three young ladies and was designed with significant input from the families for their specific needs.
The design includes a two-bedroom, 1-resident villa on one side and a two-bedroom with a breakout room house on the other. There is also a secure, on-site overnight assistance room that enables care staff to access both sides of the property. Each residence also enjoys a private backyard patio and secure access to a shared in-ground pool and spa.
Financed by For Purpose Investment Partners (FPIP) and The National Housing Finance and Investment Corporation (NHFIC), and built by Academy Construction & Development.
This duplex is the second project built in partnership with Supporting Independent Living Co-operative (SILC), a supported independent living accommodation provider established in 2016 as a hub to support families in developing their own independent housing models under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
BlueCHP is proud to be in partnership with these organisations, as it has enabled us to develop this SDA dwelling for these three young ladies to live there for the long-term. Their families have peace of mind that their loved ones are being supported in a safe and secure home.
